Summary

UNDP and Arup have developed methodologies that all local actors can leverage to ensure that digital technologies build smart cities and communities that bridge the “digital divide” and address systemic inequalities to foster inclusion, resilience, and sustainability. In this interactive session, participants will share experiences and learn to apply digital tools across smart cities and urban innovations, sustainability and climate resilience, inclusive finance, and digital transformation.

Objectives

Participants will learn from each other’s experiences, challenges, best practices, and digital solutions that create inclusive, resilient, smart, and sustainable cities, while also gaining exposure to actionable methodologies to apply digital transformations to smart cities, urban innovations, infrastructure and connectivity, urban mobility, financial inclusion, sustainability and climate resilience, circular economy, law and order, cybersecurity, capacity-building, and e-governance.
