Summary

The event will showcase a distinguished panel of experts, governmental officials, and university professors presenting various case studies from Azerbaijan. Topics include building smart cities in de-occupied territories, the university-city nexus in urban development, smart villages and agriculture's urbanization impact, revitalizing Soviet-era cities, and the impact of international events on urban reforms. Additionally, a Special Issue of the Baku Dialogue Journal will be available for free, focusing on these topics.

Objectives

The main objective of the event is to introduce the participants of WUF to the case study of Azerbaijan where WUF 2026 take place. Meanwhile, unique experience of Azerbaijan on reconstruction of territories, demining, building smart cities and villages can be good example for many countries.
