Urban Library

Information is power – it’s the currency of change and transformation. That’s why WUF12 is revamping the approach to the popular Urban Library. Whether it’s a new publication, a book, or published research report, the Urban Library seeks to provide a curated experience for WUF12 participants to dive deeper into the latest information produced by a range of partners.

UN-Habitats’ Stakeholder Advisory Group Enterprise (SAGE) provides a mechanism to strengthen innovative and effective stakeholder engagement as stakeholders play a crucial role in implementing the New Urban Agenda and the urban dimensions of the SDGs. This year, the Urban Library will benefit from SAGE’s advocacy through its members and network base.

A good Urban Library event offers both the presentation of the evidence and an opportunity for debate and discussion. They are typically facilitated by the organization that has produced the evidence and can attract media interest if they are promoted ahead of time.
