Connect, collaborate, and co-create solutions for affordable, climate-resilient housing. This networking event brings global experts, policymakers, and practitioners together to build partnerships and scale inclusive housing systems.
This Networking Event brings together government representatives, development partners, urban practitioners, investors, and researchers, alongside international experts including Lorenzo Boffi, Mr. Igor Malgrati (Independent Consultant, Italy), representatives from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and architect Marina Tabbasum. The session provides an opportunity to celebrate existing partnerships while connecting with new partners from around the world who are advancing affordable housing, creating space for collaboration across diverse contexts. Led by the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA), the event draws on Punjab’s experience in delivering housing at scale through integrated systems combining interest-free finance, land provision for low-income families, regulated private sector participation, and World Bank–supported housing programmes. Participants will engage in structured networking and facilitated dialogue focused on sharing practical experiences, identifying collaboration opportunities, and exploring pathways for scaling inclusive and climate-resilient housing. The event will highlight key initiatives including Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, Apni Zameen Apna Ghar, Affordable Private Housing Schemes, and the Punjab Affordable Housing Program, offering real-world examples of how housing policy translates into measurable outcomes. The session aims to connect cities and institutions facing similar housing challenges, foster cross-sector partnerships, and support knowledge exchange on governance reform, housing finance, climate-aware planning, and people-centred delivery. Through guided interactions and thematic breakout discussions, participants will identify areas for technical cooperation, research collaboration, and investment, strengthening networks across public, private, and development sectors. By creating space for meaningful engagement around tested housing models, this Networking Event supports WUF13’s goal of advancing inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban development while helping participants build lasting relationships that extend beyond the Forum.
