Climate-Resilient Cities and Communities across the Caspian Region Unlocking Climate Finance for Urban Adaptation

This One UN event will convene senior government representatives, UN leadership, international financial institutions and development partners for a high-level dialogue on climate-resilient cities and communities across the Caspian region. The event will explore how climate finance, partnerships and innovation can support scalable, people-centred urban adaptation.

The programme combines a high-level fireside chat on climate-resilient urban futures, and an interactive panel discussion on leveraging climate finance and partnerships across the region. The event will also showcase the One UN project in Azerbaijan financed by the Adaptation Fund, entitled “Building Climate Resilient Cities and Communities in Azerbaijan”, while identifying concrete opportunities for collaboration, co-financing and regional cooperation.

Designed as an interactive dialogue rather than a traditional sequence of speeches, the session will feature moderated discussions, short interventions, audience engagement and collection of partnership ideas with follow-up actions.
