Major international events are increasingly acting as catalysts for accelerated urban transformation, particularly in advancing sustainability and infrastructure delivery. This session explores how events such as COP29, Baku 2015, and Formula 1 have fast tracked urban development, mobility innovation, and public service improvements in Azerbaijan.
Drawing on real case studies, it shows how event driven urgency can strengthen coordination between public and private actors and unlock investment in transport, logistics, and sustainable solutions, including micromobility, green transport, and ESG aligned construction.
