Clean deliveries are an essential part of how housing and neighbourhoods function in practice, ensuring access to goods, medicines, and daily services. Yet in most cities, mail and parcel deliveries still depend heavily on petrol-powered two- and three-wheelers, adding to local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions around homes. TERI is offering a practical, evidence-backed package that helps cities and delivery operators accelerate last-mile electrification while addressing the most cited bottleneck for delivery workers: reliable charging access at home/dwelling units, alongside depot and public charging readiness. This Networkig Event is grounded in TERI’s collaboration with India Post, including field insights and a perception survey of nearly 4,000 delivery personnel, complemented by learnings from other Indian postal and parcel operators that have already adopted greener practices in end-mile operations. It is further strengthened by international best practices and case studies from both developed and developing countries, highlighting what works, what fails, and what is needed to scale, across fleet models, charging access approaches, operational planning, and governance. The dialogue brings these experiences together to generate transferable lessons and adoption pathways that other cities and countries can apply in their own housing and neighbourhood contexts. Objectives * Showcase EV-based end-mile delivery pathways worldwide * Discuss and unlock scalable, clean last-mile models * Identify strategies to de-risk charging access for delivery workers * Aligning housing plans with charging rollout * Enable peer learning and knowledge exchange
