This networking and dialogue session brings together mayors, senior city officials, and urban stakeholders from across Asia to highlight how city networks are driving practical solutions to the global housing crisis. Organized through Asian mayoral and city cooperation platforms, the event showcases city-led initiatives that promote safe, affordable, and resilient housing while strengthening social inclusion and climate adaptation. Through short case presentations and an interactive panel discussion, participating cities will demonstrate how peer-to-peer collaboration, south–south learning, and multilevel governance enable local governments to scale up housing innovations and respond effectively to urban vulnerabilities. The session emphasizes the leadership role of Asian cities in aligning housing policies with resilience, community participation, and sustainable urban development. The event contributes directly to the WUF13 theme “Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities” by fostering partnerships among city networks, international organizations, and development actors, and by identifying concrete pathways for continued collaboration beyond the Forum.
