The exhibition, is structured around six interconnected thematic pillars: Human-Centered Development Initiatives, Affordable Housing and Inclusive Neighborhoods, Urban Revitalization and Smart City development, Integrated and Inclusive Mobility, Economy and Investment, and Climate Resilience. At the core it showcases affordable housing and inclusive neighborhood development through large-scale housing programs, slum upgrading, and mixed-income communities that promote social integration and spatial equity. The urban revitalization and smart city theme demonstrates ongoing corridor-based regeneration, digital innovation, and smart service delivery systems that enhance governance, efficiency, and quality of life. Meanwhile, integrated and inclusive mobility highlights investments in public transport, walkability, and transit-oriented development, ensuring safe and accessible movement for all residents. The exhibition also underscores the role of economy and investment, illustrating how urban transformation fosters economic growth, job creation, and private sector engagement, positioning Addis Ababa as an emerging hub for sustainable investment. The climate resilience pillar showcases river restoration, green infrastructure, and nature-based solutions that address environmental challenges while improving urban livability and sustainability. Together, these six pillars present a holistic and scalable model of urban transformation, demonstrating how Addis Ababa is creating safe, inclusive, and resilient urban environments. This aligns strongly with the theme of the World Urban Forum 13—“Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities.” The city’s efforts move beyond isolated interventions to a systems-based urban strategy that enhances accessibility, safety, and resilience. Ultimately, the exhibition positions Addis Ababa as a leading example of how cities can implement human-centered, integrated, and climate-responsive development, fully aligned with global urban agendas.
