Abdou Mohamed

<p data-start="0" data-end="358">Mohamed Abdou is the Director of Territorial Planning, Urbanism, and Housing. He holds a Specialized Postgraduate Diploma (DESS) in Urban Planning and City Management from the Institute of Urban Planning of Paris. He has held several key positions in the public service, including Deputy Director General of Infrastructure and Urban Planning Studies Officer. He has played an active role in major reforms, such as the development of the Urban Planning and Housing Code in 2012, the Diagnostic of Land Tenure Systems in the Comoros in 2020, and the Territorial Development Plan for Mohéli in 2022. As the focal point for UN-Habitat and head of Urban Resilience in the Comoros, he oversees projects related to the revision of the Urban Planning and Construction Code, as well as the development of the national urban development and housing policy. Currently, he also serves as the focal point for the Regional Climate Resilience Project.
