Allegra Maria Del Pilar Baiocchi

Ms. Allegra Maria del Pilar Baiocchi, brings to the position over 20 years of experience and expertise in development, humanitarian and security and peace issues.
She currently serves as Resident Coordinator for Mexico and previously of this appointment served as Resident Coordinator for Costa Rica, Ms. Baiocchi an Italian and Venezuelan bi-national, served as UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Cameroon.
Ms. Baiocchi has held several positions within the UN working with the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UNDP, DPKO and UNCTAD.
She has served in Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Senegal, Sudan and South Sudan as well as in NY and Geneva Headquarters.
Before joining the UN, Ms. Baiocchi worked with NGOs and in academia.
Ms. Baiocchi holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Development Economics from The University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’.
