Binalakshmi Nepram is an Indigenous Scholar & Peacemaker,Founder-Director of Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network & President,Global Alliance of Indigenous Peoples,Gender Justice & Peace.Bina conceptualized two landmark Global Summits on Indigenous Peacebuilding held in Washington DC & NYC in 2024 & 2026 which led to International Declaration Indigenous Peacebuilding & launched Global Network of Indigenous Peacebuilders,Mediators & Negotiators.Bina’s innovative peace work has been recognised locally,nationally & internationally.She received the Dalai Lama Foundation's WISCOMP Scholar of Peace Fellowship,Ashoka Fellowship,Sean MacBride Peace Prize & CNN IBN Real Heroes Award. In 2013,London based organisation Action on Armed Violence named Bina as one of “100 most influential people in the world working on armed violence reduction.”Bina is also currently Vice President of International Peace Bureau, a 1910 Nobel Laureate peace federation & was nominated twice for Nobel Peace Prize.
