Bruce Stiftel

Bruce Stiftel, FAICP, is Professor Emeritus of City and Regional Planning at Georgia Institute of Technology [USA]. He is vice-chair of the American Planning Association’s International Division and serves UN-Habitat as co-chair of the research and knowledge working group of Planners for Climate Action, as co-chair of the University Network Initiative steering committee, and as a member of the steering committee of the World Urban Campaign. His research has advanced the practices of environmental mediation and water governance and promoted international movement of planning scholarship. Stiftel was president of ACSP, editor of the J of Planning Education and Research, and founding chair of the Global Planning Education Association Network.
