Bushra Ahmed Abdi

Bushra Ahmed Abdi is Senior Advisor to the Ambassador at the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Somalia to UN-Habitat and UNEP in Nairobi. She also serves as the Mission’s focal point for multilateral engagement, particularly within the United Nations system.
In this role, she supports Somalia’s participation in multilateral processes related to housing policy, sustainable urbanization, and climate resilience. She has professional experience across Somalia, Kenya, and the Republic of Korea, including work with grassroots women’s organizations and civil society initiatives, supporting collaboration between community actors, development partners, and policy processes.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations (Peace and Conflict Studies) and is a certified Negotiations and Conflict Management Specialist.
