Biography
Clarissa Augustinus is the founder and former leader of the Global Land Tool Network, developing inter-disciplinary, affordable tools across the engineering and social sciences fields. Augustinus does research in land governance, cadastral reform, land, climate, and conflict in both urban and rural areas. She is a Senior Adviser for the Arab Land Initiative of GLTN/UN-Habitat and recently supported the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) on its flagship report Global Land Outlook 2nd Edition. In 2015, she was named an honorary ambassador by the International Federation of Surveyors, better known by its acronym in French, FIG.
