Dima El-Khatib

Dima Al-Khatib is the Director of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation. She has more than 27 years of leadership, management, and sustainable development experience in several duty stations. Prior to her current function, she served as the UNDP Resident Representative in the Republic of Moldova (2019-2023), Programme and Policy Coordinator at the UNDP Regional Hub in Amman (2018-2019), UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Kuwait (2013-2018), UNDP Deputy Country Director in Libya (2012-2013), UNDP Headquarters (2004-2012) as Regional Programme Advisor with the Regional Bureau for Arab States, preceded by her function as Human Resources Manager with the Talent Management Group of the Office of Human Resources and as Sustainable Energy Specialist with the Bureau for Development Policy.
Dima holds a Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies (DEA) in Environmental Health from the Lebanese University and France University of Bordeaux II (1996) and a Bachelor of Science.
