As Director of the Air Protection and Climate Policy Department, Ms Zawadzka-Stępniak specializes in climate and energy policies, EU funds, financial instruments, and financing projects of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and air protection. She formerly served as director of the Department of Energy and Climate Change at the Lewiatan Confederation.
Ms Zawadzka-Stępniak has extensive experience in the field of environmental protection, climate change and energy policies. In the Ministry of Environment, she was responsible for creating climate policy. At the WWF Poland Foundation, she was lobbied for and communicated activities in the field of environmental policy. As Deputy President of the Management Board at the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, she managed financial support programmes for projects concerning energy efficiency, renewable energy and air protection. While serving as a director at PwC Poland, she coordinated public sector relationships and infrastructure projects in Central and Easter Europe countries
