Biography

Over 40 years of experience in urban development combining policy advise, field operations and research. This included 22 years at the United Nations and the remainder with private and public institutions. During the UN years, designed and implemented the urban agenda of UNDP’s UN Volunteers Programme and conducted the International Labour Office throughout the preparations for Habitat III, during the Summit itself, and afterwards in the discussions for the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. PhD in urban development. Extensive portfolio of operational activities and publications, including UN documents, books and articles in scientific journals. Currently Associate Professor at the School of the Built Environment and Architecture (South Bank University) and Vice-President of the General Assembly of Partners.
