Fahad Albuliheshi

H.E. Eng. Fahad Albuliheshi is the Mayor of the Madinah Region and CEO of the Madinah Region Development Authority. With a background in Civil Engineering and an Executive Master’s in Cities, he spearheads transformative urban programs that harmonize modernization with Madinah’s profound cultural and spiritual heritage.

Under his leadership, Madinah has pioneered human-centered smart city initiatives, utilizing data and sustainable mobility to elevate quality of life. His vision recently led Madinah to win the prestigious 2025 Shanghai Global Award for Sustainable Development in Cities, making it one of only five cities worldwide recognized for urban innovation.

Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, H.E. Albuliheshi champions evidence-based planning and regional integration. His work ensures Madinah remains a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready global destination while meticulously preserving its historic identity.
