Henrique Frota
A lawyer with expertise in urban planning and urban law. He served as Director and Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Institute of Urban Law. He is currently Executive Director of Instituto Pólis (a Brazilian civil society organization advocating for the right to the city) and also Executive Director of the Brazilian Association of Non-Governmental Organizations. Since 2017, he has been a member of the secretariat team of the Global Platform for the Right to the City. In 2024, he served as President of Civil20 (C20), the G20’s civil society engagement group, and has since been a member of the International Committees of C20 and C7 to the present day. He serves on the Steering Committee of the Coalition of Public Development Banks and CSOs as part of Finance in Common.
