Ihor Terekhov

Ihor Terekhov is serving as the Mayor of Kharviv since November 2021. He graduated from the Kharkiv Engineering and Construction Institue in 1990 and worked as a research intern for few years in the Institute. He then worked in the private sector from 1994 to 1997 before joining in 1999 the economic department of the Kharkiv City Council as a civil servant. He graduated in 2006 from the National Academy for Public administration. In 2007, he was appointed the Deputy Head of Governor of Kharkiv Oblast Arsen Avakov. He became Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv in 2010 and First Deputy Mayor in 2015. He has the title of Honored Economist of Ukraine.
