Juan Caballero is the forward-doing CEO, pioneering resilient retrofitting solutions for existing housing and serving as a trusted advisor to governments, multilateral institutions, NGOs, and beyond. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Juan leads and scales the strategy, planning, and execution of Build Change programs across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia. His contributions extend beyond program implementation to policy change, access to finance, technical guidelines, housing subsector studies, and post-disaster reconnaissance missions. Before joining Build Change, Juan made his mark as an independent architect and construction contractor, bringing invaluable insights from the field to his current role. His dedication to community development led him to serve his home country of Honduras in various capacities within the national government, focusing on local government capacity development and overseeing bilateral development programs.
