Margarita Greene
MARGARITA GREENE, Architect and Master in Sociology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and PhD at University College London, England. She is a Professor at the School of Architecture, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Associate Researcher at the Center for Sustainable Urban Development, CEDEUS, and General Coordinator of the Network for Sustainable Urban Development at Latin America and the Caribbean, REDEUS_LAC. In her 35 years as an academic, she has supervised almost 60 Master’s and PhD theses, published over 50 articles in indexed journals and book chapters, and a dozen books, and has led numerous multidisciplinary research projects with national and international funds and multiple consultancies in Chile and abroad. Her areas of specialisation include incremental construction, vulnerable neighbourhoods, informal settlements, space syntax, urban project and architectural education strategies.
