Nassim Majidi

Dr Nassim Majidi is the co-founder and executive director of Samuel Hall, and an expert on durable solutions to displacement. She has been working in Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan since 2007 and Somalia and the Horn of Africa since 2014, leading a team of researchers from the regions of study to conduct empirical research on migration and displacement. Nassim works on climate change and displacement, in partnership with the Hugo Observatory at the Université de Liège and as a Research Associate at Tufts University’s Feinstein International Center. She is also affiliated with the Africa Centre for Migration Society at Wits University in South Africa. She published in 2023 the Elgar Handbook on Forced Migration with Karen Jacobsen, and over 30 academic articles and 200 studies on migration.
