Nigar Mammadova

Nigar Mammadova graduated with distinction from the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in International Relations at the Faculty of International Law and International Relations of Baku State University. She obtained certificates from University of London and from University of Michigan. She is fluent in Russian, English and French. From 2001 to 2014, she worked at the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where she held various positions and was promoted to the rank of Tax Service Counselor. In 2010, she was awarded the “10th Anniversary Medal” of the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan by Presidential Order No. 738 dated 11 February 2010. She served as the Head of the Protocol Sector of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She held the positions of Deputy Director and Director of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center under the Ministry. Pursuant to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 22 February 2024, she was appointed a member of the COP29 Organizing Committee. She is a member of the New Azerbaijan Party. In 2024, she was elected as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the Absheron electoral district. She is a member of the Committee on Labour and Social Policy and the Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She is also the Head of the Working Group on Interparliamentary Relations between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg.
