Prasanta Kumar Mohapatra

Prasanta Kumar Mohapatra from India is a civil engineering graduate with M. Tech in Water Resource Engineering and M.Sc. in Sanitary Engineering from IHE Delft, The Netherlands. He was Engineer-in-Chief of Odisha Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Government of Odisha. He led design and implementation of water supply, sewered and non-sewered sanitation projects improving lives in urban Odisha. He was responsible for setting up 120 FSTPs in all the towns and cities Odisha. He worked as a Senior Expert at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt of India for about one and half years. In November 2025, the Housing and Urban Development Department, Odisha engaged him as an Used Water Expert for implementing sanitation projects.
