Prasoon Kumar

Prasoon Kumar is the Co-Founder and CEO of BillionBricks, a climate-tech venture developing net-zero homes and communities that combine sustainable housing with renewable energy. An architect and urban planner by training, Prasoon has worked across India, the U.S., Hong Kong, and Singapore, bringing a design-led approach to solving housing and climate challenges. He first founded BillionBricks as a non-profit in 2013, focused on creating innovative housing solutions for underserved communities. In 2020, with the support of ENGIE, BillionBricks transitioned into a for-profit venture to scale its renewable and sustainable housing concept and bring climate-resilient homes to more families. BillionBricks has received recognition from platforms such as Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas, the ENGIE Innovation Trophy, and the Holcim Awards. Prasoon continues to advocate for inclusive, sustainable design and serves as part of the WTO Director-General’s Business Advisory Group.
