Her work is aimed at unthinking and reimagining slum and inclusive urban development, nudging community-led initiatives that integrate, use an ecosystem and ecological approach to promote resilience. She works to strengthen local capacities for participative planning, community data spatialisation and analysis for effective city governance and design of localised integrational solutions. She works to simplify institutions and deepen pro-poor policy discourse. Her projects are innovative and awarded. She has received the 2022 Dubai international Award for Best Practices in Urban Governance on the Development of URBGOV – a GIS tool for pro-poor city decision making. On International Women’s Day, she was recognised by the Government of India for her work in sanitation and promoting equality.
