Rodrigo Faria Goncalves Iacovini

Rodrigo Iacovini is the Executive Director of Pólis Institute, Brazilian CSO devoted to the right to adequate housing. He is a Brazilian lawyer and urban planner, holding a PhD in Regional and Urban Planning from the University of São Paulo. He represents CSOs at the National Council of Cities, at the Brazilian Interministerial Committee for Climate Change, at the Board of Green-Resilient Cities Federal Program and at the Municipal Council for Transit and Traffic of São Paulo. Member of the Hub for Housing Justice, the Clean Mobility Collective and the Habitat International Coalition. He was part of the technical coordination team that led the participatory revision process of the National Housing Plan and Jury of Minha Casa, Minha Vida award. Formerly assistant of the former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, Raquel Rolnik. Often publishes articles in Folha de S. Paulo, Le Monde Diplomatique, Carta Capital, Correio Braziliense, among other media outlets.
