Sandra Aceng

<p>Sandra Aceng is the Executive Director of Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET), where she advocates for the integration of gender perspectives into digital rights and ICT policies. A gender and ICT researcher, policy analyst, and human rights defender, Sandra was recognized as Human Rights Defender of the Month by DefendDefenders in February 2021. She has contributed to various publications, including Technology and Domestic and Family Violence, and writes for Global Voices and Impakter Magazine. Sandra has held fellowships with Global Network Initiative, Internews, and OPTIMA, and leads efforts to advance data justice in Uganda, with a focus on marginalized groups, including women and persons with disabilities.</p>
