Sandra Odhiambo

Sandra Nyawira Odhiambo is an intersectional disability rights advocate focused on inclusive development, youth leadership, and social justice. She works to strengthen the meaningful participation, representation, and agency of young persons with disabilities in governance, civic engagement, and development processes. She currently serves as a Disability Inclusion Advisor at the United Disabled Persons of Kenya under the We Can Work programme, where she leads advocacy to remove barriers and advance equitable, accessible systems. Her work is grounded in intersectionality, addressing how disability intersects with age, gender, and socio-economic exclusion, and promoting structural rather than symbolic inclusion.
She contributes to regional and global advocacy through the International Disability Alliance Youth Committee and the Commonwealth Children and Youth Disability Network, amplifying the voices of young persons with disabilities in policy and campaigns.
