Terrence Chiasson
Carter Chiasson is a Canadian educator, musician, and producer dedicated to empowering young artists through innovative music and film projects that celebrate cultural identity and address social issues. For over a decade he has developed acclaimed music projects, created engaging arts curricula, and collaborated with organizations like the National Arts Centre of Canada and UNESCO. In 2020, he was honored with the MusicCounts Music Teacher of the Year JUNO award for his contributions to music education in Canada.
As a musician and producer, Carter has supported artists in the studio and on stage, recently mentoring Indigenous artist Emma Stevens. Their collaborations have been recognized globally, including performances at major festivals, multiple United Nations gatherings, and have earned accolades from figures like Paul McCartney.
In 2023, Carter launched ‘The Empower Youth Music Project,’ aimed at uplifting youth through art and music.
