Zaida Muxi Martinez

Zaida Muxí is a distinguished architect and professor at TEC de Monterrey’s School of Architecture, Art, and Design since October 2023. Her appointment aims to integrate a gender perspective into architecture, design, and urbanism programs. In March 2023, she held the prestigious Federico Mariscal Chair at the Faculty of Architecture of UNAM. In November 2023, she was awarded the Jorge Camberos Garibi Medal by the University of Guadalajara and FIL Guadalajara for her contributions to urbanism. She is a representative for women and feminism on the Board of Habitat International Coalition (HIC). An expert in feminist urbanism and gender perspectives, she has served as a consultant for various governments, including those of Andalucía, Catalonia, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo, as well as institutions like the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). She is also the Director of Urban Planning for Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
