Circular and resilient urban water management - A compendium of solutions and toolkit for local and regional governments

The session aims to present the content of the compendium to the audience, explain the methodology followed by the editors, highlight some case studies and gather the opinions and comments of the participants regarding the relevance of such a collection and possibly the opportunities to enrich and improve it so that it serves as a reference for decision-makers and professionals in the water and urban planning sector. The session will be organized as an expert panel where the compilation's editors and contributing professionals will speak to the audience, providing necessary clarifications on the link between urban planning and water management, and on the importance of adopting a circular approach through examples of proven practices in several cities worldwide. The ICLEI team, which contributed to this work, and representatives from the Moroccan Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, the project's main beneficiary, will be part of the panel and will be able to share their insights. Experts from GWOPA will take part as well in the panel and will give their opinion on the relevance of the publication and its usefulness for water operators and the means of disseminating it as a working tool. This will be complemented by a presentation offering a visual overview of the compendium's content and its unique layout, intended to guide readers in finding the most relevant case studies based on their interests. Finally, a question-and-answer session between the panelists and the audience will allow for interaction and discussion in order identify potential improvements and enhancements of the publication. The session will be organized as follows: Opening remarks: 5 minutes Presentation: 15 minutes Roundtable: 20 minutes Questions and answers: 15 minutes Conclusions: 5 minutes Our monitoring strategy to follow up the outcomes of the event will be based on: - A session report summarizing the discussion and outputs to be shared with the participants. - Collect additional feedback from the participants. -The number of the compendium downloads from our websites and the websites of our partner organizations: GIZ, the Moroccan ministry of urban planning. - The feedback collected on the websites and social media. - Depending on the number of feedbacks a webinar could be organized to target a larger audience. All this, can lead us to possible reviews and enrichment of the compendium
