WUF13 opens applications for partner-led events

Applications are now open for partner-led events for the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), taking place from 17 to 22 May 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The application will close on 29 January 2026.

As a key feature of the Forum, partner-led events offer stakeholders from around the world an opportunity to share experiences, innovations and solutions that advance sustainable urban development.

Stakeholders can apply to organize any of the seven partner-led event categories:

  • Networking events
  • One UN
  • SDGs in action
  • Urban cinema
  • Urban library
  • Voices from cities
  • WUF Academy (previously known as Training events)

Applications should be submitted through the UN-Habitat Global Event Management System using your personal registration dashboard. Partners can only apply for one event per category. All applications must be received before 29 January 2026.

The World Urban Forum is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization, convened by UN-Habitat. The thirteenth session is co-organized with the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thousands of participants representing national, regional, and local governments, academics, business leaders, community leaders, urban planners are expected to come together to shape the future of housing and cities under the theme “Housing the world: Safe and resilient cities and communities.”
