Peter has spent the past decade promoting sustainable development at city scale, working with governments and built environment professionals around the world.
Peter served as RIBA Vice President International and co-founded the UK Built Environment Advisory Group, the aim of which is to provide a more effective interface between built environment professionals, national governments, development partners and other key stakeholders.
In his capacity as President Elect at the Commonwealth Association of Architects, he is one of the authors of the Call to Action on Sustainable Urbanisation in the Commonwealth.
Peter is currently working on the UK FCDO Global Future Cities Programme, supporting 30 projects in 19 cities in 10 countries, in South America, Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. In May 2020 he was selected as a member of the UN Habitat Stakeholder Advisory Group.
