Summary

Crises are affecting the physical fabric of our cities but more importantly are displacing people at an increasing scale. The war in Ukraine alone has forced over 14 million people from their homes in the span of a couple of months.

This requires new thinking on how the new context will transform the urban landscape.

For the first time in the history of the World Urban Forums, UN-Habitat, together with the host country Poland, dedicated a special track to events that deal with converging crises in urban settings.
